On our European Holiday
Finally, remembered my correct user name and password. We have been here five days in Holland now, and I'm already knowing that I'm going to miss DH's family so much when we leave. Of course, I won't miss the fact everything is so expensive!
So far we have visited lots of family, walked around shopping centres, have drank loads of tea and seen that everyone's house looks like something out of a magazine in the inside. No wonder DH thinks that I"m a slob with my housekeeping, everything here is sssssooooo tidy it isn't funny. And they iron absolutly everything, including socks!!!!!!!
Weird that it will be Sunday morning where you are and Saturday night here! Tis our anniversary today - and so far has been great! Better than Christmas! I'm still working on getting rid of jet lag, so was wide awake at 4am and at 4.30 DH went downstairs (i'm forbidden to go down early in the morning, yesterday I slipped, feel down them and fainted at the bottom - nearly gave MIL a heart attack, she thought I'd died) to get me breakfast. Came back with hot tea, bananna and fruit buns. Took a bite of the fruit bun and he'd put accidently salt instead of sugar on them, poor guy was so embarressed - but I thought it was sweet!! I got my present, which was a scrapbook kit (paper for first anniversary) that i can use for all the photos from our trip!! Then we had nice cuddles before falling back asleep.
It is also my SIL birthday today, she turned 10, so at 8.15 (apparently she'd been waiting since 7am) she knocked on the door and climbed into bed with us - and we gave her her present as well.
Today we went to Gouda and the market with DH and and BIL (21yrs) and bought fresh stropwaffles - and I'm going to get fat b/c we're eating chips with satay sauce!!
Anyway, I am being sent to bed for a few hours, b/c the whole extended family is coming tonight to meet us and for SIL bday, so I can't go to bed at 7pm. Hope you all have a lovelly Xmas Eve - and a wonderful Christmas Day.
